Healing sober living and recovery services for all gender identities in Manhattan, NYC
K.C.’s House is an all-gender transitional living located in TriBeCa. Our intention is to foster a soft landing for anyone who feels more aligned with or is a part of the LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, questioning/queer, intersex, asexual) and the TGNCNB (Transgender, gender non-conforming, non-binary) community. We collaborate with clinical providers and offer resources tailored to each member of our community recovering from alcohol, drugs, and other compulsive behaviors. Our goal is to help create a wellness model and facilitate support that speaks to each individual’s lived experience and addresses issues like stigmatization, discrimination, and social rejection related to coming out.
Clients from the LGBTQIA+ community are twice as likely to experience addiction to alcohol and drugs. It is through the addition of K.C.’s House to Avenues that we aim to address this discrepancy with unique services geared towards all sexual and gender identities.

Avenues NYC: an inclusive and accessible recovery community
At K.C.’s House, we understand that members from the LGBTQIA+ community are a marginalized portion of the recovering population. We strive to help create a strong community that is not only inclusive but supportive and affirming of all gender and intersectional identities. We aim to create an open environment where residents can speak freely and without the fear of judgment regarding the unique challenges and struggles they face, surrounded by like-minded residents who encourage each other to be and become themselves.
